Life Imitates Art
I recently started watching the show Supernatural. I know, I’m a little late to be jumping on the bandwagon, but I only heard about it recently, so I was a bit surprised it’s been on for 6 seasons already.
Anywho, I’ve started from the beginning so that I can catch up and understand the full story line, instead of trying to figure out what’s going on in the most recent season.
First of all, let me say that it’s AWESOME! Well, for anyone who loves horror movies/thrillers. I think it’s amazing that they’re using simple urban legends and ghost stories that everyone knows and really bringing them to life in hourly segments. :)
Last night I watched the episode called “Hook Man” which, if anyone knows the urban legend, is about a man who has a hook for a hand and he kills people. Go figure.
So, the reason I’m writing this now, is because I took a train to get to school today, and while I was waiting on the platform, a man walked up with grocery bags, put them down on the ground and started resorting the things that were in there. And he had a hook for a hand.
NO. I’M NOT KIDDING.
He didn’t seem like the serial killer type at all, but it was the first time I’d ever seen someone with a prosthetic that didn’t look like the thing it was replacing. Actually, it may have been the first time I’d seen anyone with a prosthetic at all. Or at least in person.
But WHAT ARE THE ODDS!? I mean, really. I just saw that episode last night. And I saw the guy today. How weird is that!?
