THAT’S The Kind Of Guy I Want!
A little while ago, a customer came into the store where I work.
I was doing stuff in the back, but my coworker asked me to go up front while she was dealing with something. I went to the front of the store and asked this customer if he needed any help with anything. His response was “No, but thank you very much for asking,” and he said it with such a huge, sincere smile, like it really made his day for me to check and make sure he was finding everything ok. As I started to walk away, he said, “Oh, actually… maybe you can…” and proceeded to ask me a question about something he was looking at, all the while in the same sweet, kind manner.
And it occurred to me that not many of the people we get in here are (a) that kind or (b) that appreciative of even the smallest things. And it makes me so happy when people respond like that. It really does.
He ended up taking pictures of a few items instead of spending the money now and finding out that they’re wrong later, and I thought that was a sweet gesture, too.
And I’m sure you can totally see where I’m going with this, but THAT’S the kind of guy I want! :) lol
